New York is a great walking city, with 3 main areas: uptown, mid-town, and
downtown which includes the financial district and the east and west villages.
Take a self-guided walking tour starting in Times Square, and while you are there pick up discount tickets for a broadway show for later that night
Then head a few blocks over to 5th Avenue for some of the best shopping in the world.
If you are there at Christmas this is a must as the shops are decorate to the nines for the holiday.
Walk to Rockefeller Center, and go to the Top of the Rock for an amazing view of the city.
If you are hungary, there is a wonderful food court beneath the Plaza Hotel (5th Ave
& 59th Street)
Next head to Central Park, and stroll through the park until you get to the Metropolitan Museum and spend a few hours exploring this amazing place
